October 25, 2011Students studied examples of bikkur cholim from the Torah, explored how to perform the mitzvah, and when the mitzvah applies. Not every person or every sickness qualifies, nor do you actually have to “visit” the sick person to fulfill the mitzvah!
Students also studied some fascinating customs and guidelines related to the mitzvah.
Topic of the Week: Bracha Acharona
October 3, 2011Students learned when to make a bracha acharona, the different types of brachot acharona, and what happens if there’s a change in location before the bracha acharona is recited.
Students also know how to categorize different foods based on these brachot and applied their knowledge in this creative worksheet.
